With over 25 years of extensive portraiture experience, Susan Whiting is one of the most sought after portrait artists in the Southern California area.  Both her eye for detail, and her ability to capture personality with her brush, brings her subjects to life in vivid color.

A lifelong Southern California resident, Ms. Whiting grew up in beautiful Rolling Hills, CA and developed a passion for the Arts at a very young age, eventually graduating from UC Irvine with a B.A. in Fine Arts.  Shortly after graduation, she went to work for Disney for over 8 years as a portrait artist.  Following her tenure at Disney, she spent over 10 years working in Art Education teaching various classes and workshops throughout the San Diego, CA area.  Her drive and affinity for life portraits led her to study with masters such as Daniel Greene in NYC, Sebastian Capella in San Diego, and since 2011, has been working under the tutelage of one of the living masters, Lance Richlin in Palos Verdes, CA.  Over the years, her exposure to various techniques, mediums and modalities have allowed her to develop a style all her own, with a keen eye for aesthetics, light and shadow, and composition.
